Lover Awakened the third book in the series, but my fourth read, was positively amazeballs. I wanted this book before I was even finished with Rhage’s book, and I went out that same night to buy it. The way Bella and Zsadist are together in Rhages book, alluded to the cosmic kind of love that their story would possess. I wanted it. I anticipated it, and I was not at all disappointed.
They were so good together it hurt to let them go. They were so perfect together, I wanted more of them in the next book, more than I wanted to hear about the lead characters.

My Review

How many stars: 5

Main Characters: Zsadist and Bella were totally amazing. Zsadist was a perfect broken hero. He was the right amount of dangerous, but the perfect amount of consideration and tenderness for Bella. He was a hero. As a heroine, Bella was absolutely great. She went after her man, but she wasn’t afraid to be pissed off. She is no shrinking violet.

Story: The story was great. You got to really understood Zsadist and where he was coming from, but more importantly, you got to love him and want Bella for him even more. She was–is–his perfect antidote. And together they had a sweet and passionate story that leaves you salivating for more.
Would I re-read: This book is re-read worthy. I think I read it again, after I was done. It was way too perfectly good. I wanna give spoilers–but I wont.
Improvements: There really wasn’t any improvements as oppose to, just needed more of them. Needed a little bit more of them towards the end. Just like another 5 pages, minimum.

Topping: This book was my Extra Caramel swirl on the most amazingly made frappuccino. The amount of extra caramel was amazing on top of the light whip cream, and it looked nice instead of sloppy. Loved It, Loved It!!

Lover Eternal is Yummeh! Rhage, Full warrior, part dragon, and amazing lover. What can I say? The guy is a beast. I love him. I literally forsake my school work, and most of my priorities to be with him–er…read his story.    And when I was free, I locked myself in my room and delved deep into the pages.
Rhage’s book is the second installment in the black dagger brotherhood series, but my third read, as I read the eight, Lover Avenged, first and the Ninth, Lover Mine, second. My thirst for another BDB book was dormant for months before my friend gave me this book. I was so in love with this book, that I ran out and bought the third one, Lover Awakened, and fifth, Lover Unbound, before I even finished.

My Review

How many stars: 5

Main Characters: The main characters were awesome and unforgettable. Rhage, the strongest of the brotherhood warriors, and the most emotionally freeing. He loves and aches with the same fervor. Mary, a fighter until the end, is the most kindest and most compassionate heroine. Together she and Rhage are compelling, and unforgettably and achingly perfect.

Story: The story grabs you by the collar and pulls you in from the first sentence. It was paced perfectly. The story made you ache for them, both individually and together. I cried with them, and for them, but mostly I enjoyed them. They loved fast and hard and they fought, both each other and for each other, and always willing to sacrifice. So good.

Would I re-read: Yes and I already reread it. Its just that good. Its re-readable, from the moment you finish.

Improvements: A little bit longer. And that’s just purely for my sake. It was so perfect I didn’t want it to end.  I wanted to be with them a little longer.

Topping: This book was the perfect Frappuccino, light whip, and the perfect amount of extra caramel.

I love this book. To me it emphasizes just how much of a stellar author J.R. Ward is. I love how she put this book together, from copy right page to the end.

Book Eight: Rehvenge’s Story
J.R. WARD’S BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD novels have introduced readers to a “different, creative, dark, violent, and flat-out amazing”* world.

Now, as the vampire warriors defend their race against their slayers, one male’s loyalty to the Brotherhood will be tested- and his dangerous mixed blood revealed.

*All About Romance

Caldwell, NY, has long been the battleground for the battleground for the vampires and their enemies, the Lessening Society. It’s also where Rehvenge has staked out his turf as a drug lord and notorious nightclub that caters to the rich and heavily armed. His shadowy reputation is exactly why he’s approached to kill Wrath, the Blind King, and leader of the Brotherhood. Rehvenge has always kept his distance from the Brotherhood, even though his sister is married to a member. Because he’s a sympath, his identity is a deadly secret- the revelation of which will result in his banishment to a colony for sociopaths. And as plots within and outside the Brotherhood take their toll against Rehvenge, he turns to the only source of light in a darkening world- Elhena, a vampire untouched by the corruption that has its hold on him- and the only thing standing between him and eternal destruction.Source: http://www.jrward.com/bdb/index-books.html#LoverAvenged

Rehvenge’s story was my first in the Brotherhood series, so its safe to say I didn’t go in having high expectations. My best friend gave it to me, and I trust her when it comes to book’s for me. Plus when she recommends a book with her “It was good”, you know she must really like it.
But While she may like it, I want to love it. Or really like it. I’m the kind of person who reads and immerse. Not, read, put away, out of sight out of mind. Oh no, books stick with me, which is both good and bad. Good; because I love it and I’ll be able to reread and most likely like the authors other books. Bad; because like I said, it sticks with me. If I read a bad book, i’ll be ticked off for days. I’ll just seethe and think of the ways the characters and the story could have been better. Lets face it, its usually the books with an awesome plot that ends up disappointing you.
My Review

How many stars: 4

Main Characters: The main characters were both awesome and flawed. One is too noble, the other rash, but we can’t hold that against them. Hero, although too noble, was the perfect mixture of bad ass and sweet. Heroine, sweet and strong–not afraid to go get her man, though after she stops feeling sorry for herself. All in all, they were cute and had a lot of chemistry.

Story: The story was good. Took me a while to get into it, but once I did I loved it. Loved the unity of the brotherhood, the lead characters separate stories and the other characters intertwining stories.

Would I re-read: Yes, but only once in a while.

Improvements: More of the main characters. They weren’t together nearly enough for my taste.

Topping: As far as toppings go, this was definitely Extra Caramel.  A good read.
