One Bite With A Stranger By Christine Warren

Okay, I know you have some questions, and or suspicions, so let me answer em. No, I don’t only read paranormal romance, especially ones about vampires. And no I don’t have vampire fetish. Or one for werewolves either. It just so happens that I wanted to write about one of my favorite books–I felt I needed to show some variety. But back to business *putting on business face*.

One Bite With A Stranger

When Regina’s friends insist on setting her up a “Fantasy Fix” to help her get over her cheating ex, she dreams up some kinky out-of-this-world encounters that they could never possibly bring to life. But the next thing Regina knows, her friends have got her laced into a shiny black corset, tight leather pants, and a sexy pair of stilettos. It’s time for some downtown vampire-fantasy fun…

The Vampire Ball in Manhattan’s East Village isn’t really Dmitri Vidâme’s idea of a good time, but as a member of the Council that governs the Others, he has to keep an eye on all the young vamps who prey on the pretenders. After he feasts his dark eyes on fiery Regina at the bar, he knows that he must have her. But for the first time Dmitri meets a woman who is more than a match for his indomitable will. And he may be the fantasy Regina hoped for… until she—and her feisty friends—discover her sexy new lover’s bloodsucking secret…

This book, oh my gosh. Let me just stat off by saying Yummeh! This book is so ridiculously great, your slack jawed when its over. This one belongs to my friend Brina who gave it the “Its was good” stamp of approval. Boy was that an understatement, and oh boy was I so not prepared. I picked up this book, thinking: “Haven’t read a vamp romance in forever, hopefully its good”. It was. This book was such a quick read, a fun read, a damn great read,  and most assuredly a sexy read. If you can’t take the heat, don’t go in that kitchen. The chatacters Dmitri and Regina–Reggie for short–were just so great and hilarious together. Dmitri had me not wanting to let him go. I wish I could have plucked him out of that book and kept him with me. If ever there was a man as raw and male and utterly protective of his territory, its Dmitri. And I’m all about independence, but when there’s a guy like Dmitri around who wants to exercise his primitive side, well I’d damned sure be happy.  Be my guest, warrior. Yummeh!! I can rave about this book forever. Its just so good.

My Review

How many stars: 5

Main Characters: Dmitri is so male! He is the epitome of strong and wonderful. He’s all about taking care of and pleasing his lady. Yes, singular, lady. Reggie is so cute with Dmitri. She’s just so speechless about what happened in her life, one moment on a fantasy fix, the next she’s completely taken over by a stranger. They were a good lead, and they made you laugh and experience their passion with them.

Story: The story was nice paced and developed. the characters were funny, and its are the Love-at-first-sight kind. Your not going to want to put the book down.

Would I re-read: I would so reread. This is a definite reread, your just going to love and miss ’em too much when your done.

Improvements: It really doesn’t need any improvements, but it could have been a little longer. Its such a quick read, but very satisfying that you wont go crazy. You’d be content and just want to pick it up for another read when you can.

Topping: Caramel frappuccino, light whip with nicely placed extra caramel on top and on the sides. You don’t have to mix, everything just comes together in every pull, so the flavor and aftertaste is perfect. Yummeh!
